Built on Experience. Driven by Clarity.

Perspective built from being inside the business.

Palmoni & Co. was built on the belief that better decisions begin with a clearer understanding of the business itself.

We partner with privately owned businesses at critical moments—when complexity increases, clarity is limited, and the path forward is uncertain. Our perspective comes from experience inside businesses, where financial realities, operational decisions, and leadership priorities rarely exist in isolation.

That experience shapes how we work today: close to the business, grounded in what is actually happening, and focused on bringing clarity to what matters most.

What You Can Expect From Us

  • 01

    Candor

We say what we see, even when the answer is difficult. Clear thinking starts with honest conversations.

  • 02

    Rigor

We ask the right questions, follow the details, and hold ourselves accountable to the work. We stay focused on what matters and see it through.

  • 03

    Partnership

We work alongside owners and leadership teams, not at a distance. We stay close to the business, engaged in the work, and invested in moving it forward.

Palmoni is a rare term, often interpreted as “the numberer” — one who reveals what is hidden and brings clarity through measurement. It reflects a deeply layered approach to understanding what truly drives outcomes, distilling complexity into clear direction without overwhelming detail.

In practice, this means uncovering the true story within a business—bringing structure to complexity, clarity to decisions, and a path forward that can be executed with confidence or supported through ongoing advisory.

Palmoni & Co. grew out of a pattern Scott Forster kept seeing firsthand. Business owners were facing financial and operational challenges that called for experienced leadership, but hiring that level of experience full-time often didn’t make sense. The right person was difficult to find, expensive to hire, and in many cases, the business needed to solve the underlying issues before it was ready to build out the role long-term.

Scott saw an opportunity to offer something different: bring senior-level experience into the business at the moment it matters most. Get to the root of what is happening, strengthen the foundation, and help leadership determine what—and who—the business actually needs going forward.

That approach draws on Scott’s background in both finance and operations. A former Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with degrees in Accounting and Finance, he has worked across businesses and industries where the numbers are only part of the story. His experience has shaped a practical way of working: understand the business first, identify what is really getting in the way, and then build the right solution around it.

Today, Scott leads the Palmoni & Co. team with that same mindset. We work closely with owners and leadership teams, bringing the right experience and perspective to each engagement rather than forcing every business into the same model.

The goal is simple: give business owners access to the level of leadership they need, solve the issues that matter, and leave the business in a stronger position for what comes next.

Clarity begins with understanding the business as it truly is. By looking beyond the obvious and connecting what’s happening across the business, we bring greater perspective to the decisions that matter.

how we think

Every business has its own history, dynamics, pressures, and ambitions. We take the time to understand them before determining what comes next.

1

Understand before advising.

Financial performance tells an important story, but rarely the whole one. We connect what the numbers are showing with what is happening operationally to understand what is truly driving the business.

2

Look beyond the numbers.

Complexity is inevitable. Confusion is not. We distill what is complicated into what is relevant, giving leaders a clearer view of the decisions in front of them.

3

Make complexity useful.

Our perspective is practical by design. Recommendations have to work within the realities of the business—not just make sense on paper.

4

Stay grounded.

EXPERIENCE CHANGES THE WAY YOU SEE A BUSINESS.

We know that the most important challenges rarely fit neatly into one category.

Financial decisions affect operations. Operational decisions affect people. Growth creates new pressures. And what appears to be the problem is not always the thing that needs to be solved.

That is why our work begins with understanding.

We bring an experienced, independent perspective to the table—one that helps owners and leadership teams see their businesses more clearly, ask better questions, and make decisions with greater confidence.

EXPERIENCE THAT SHOWS UP IN THE WORK.

We bring the perspective to see what’s happening beneath the surface…and the experience to know what to do next.

Our work is shaped by years spent inside businesses, alongside owners and leadership teams, navigating financial, operational, and transactional challenges firsthand. That experience allows us to ask better questions, identify what’s really driving performance, and get to the root of issues faster.

Across manufacturing and distribution, professional services, software and technology, and other privately owned businesses, we’ve seen how growth, transition, and complexity can change what a company needs. We bring that perspective into each engagement—whether the priority is strengthening the foundation, preparing for a transaction, improving performance, or determining the right next move.
